Sorry for not posting for so long, but there was so much going on, me qualifying for VMC(yay!!) etc..etc… but i’m back(for now) and will be posting!
Due to the fantastic response that i’ve got recently regarding my Vidyamandir post, i think i’m going to expand on my experience there(I dont think i mentioned that i’m a student there did i?? ) well anyways, for all those guys thinking of qualifying next year here are a few tips and tricks (i know how much i needed some during my preperations for the VMC exam) And alson i’m going to give you readers a free treat, Some actual Questions that appear in the exam!!!
BTW dont try and search for them on the net…you won’t find more than two, i know becoase i did so myself!
So here are those Golden rules that will help you gain entrance to one of the toughest coaching entrances out there!-
1) Dont rely on NCERT/CBSE if you want to become something in your life, if you do so you will not be capable of anything, those of you in ICSE board are still better of…but only a little.
2) Dont waste your time solving the complete RD Sharma or something like that.
3) Join 100percentiles IITJEE-(your iit exam year eg. my year 2010 ) foundation course, ( i didn’t take it but my friends told me that they are really really good and help a lot in the real exam)!
4)Dont get demoralised….most chances are you wont be able to solve more than 15 questions in the real exam( I solved 22!) but that is enough, The cutoff for ECC is 50/100 and Regular is 70/100
5) Board exams SUCK! A student with 95% may not qualify while a student with 65% may, so never take your board exams as a serious indicator at all, they are only meant to be passed.
6)Believe in your ability(Even if you dont qualify for VMC it doesnt mean you wont for IIT) but if youe taken non-med under peer or parent pressure then i advise you to leave it, you cant qualify for IIT unless you are willingly ready to do so.
7) Dont think that you can’t solve a Ques. Questions are meant to be solved, they are made by the examiner in that way
And lastly…but not least HATE the CBSE BOARD for ruining 10 years of your life whithout teaching anything worthwhile!

OVERVIEW
I just got my hands on this baby and I must admit this is cool! Just after installing this on my hardware it had caught around 120 viruses on my PC with month old virus signatures which my Norton 2007 couldn’t do with up to date signatures(in your face Symantec!).
The program’s generally light with not much system resources required.Though it says it slows down the PC 10% I reckon its much lower than that…,maybe around 5%-6%(wow!that’s the first modest company I’ve seen in years!).So lets start with the review.
INTERFACE
They have streamlined the new interface which is much more sleeker and attractive than the no-frills KAV 6.0 approach, though it looks the same while scanning, the KAV labs have retained the close window option while scanning and also feature an emergency automatic resume function that really helps.
PERFORMANCE
The major gain over the other applications in the pack is it’s low system requirements. once installed it isn’t even detectable on a low-end PC(by low, I mean at least 256 Mb of ram and a 2.5 Ghz+ Processor).
Another positive is the bundelled rootkit scanner which makes sure you have a healthy PC.though it must be said that the firewall is extremely irritating at times asking for instructions at every point(It asked me if it should delete explorer.exe as it affected application integrity…). Kaspersky retains its title for the fastest and smallest updating service in the world and is dream.

Ok..so that was all listed in the Help file of the word program. Now when I used office 2007 on my PC there’s one thing I noticed instantly. It works like a snail on a low-end PC, so its better off with 2003 if you aren’t lucky enough to even have 512 Mb of ram(I’ve got 256…ouch!).
Barring that the new look and interface breath a new life into the word processor, it may take a little time to get used to but after an hour or two, it works like a dream. The new Ribbon style as compared to the old drop down menu style gives a lot more accessibility without much hassle, and the increased file compatibility is a sureshot winner!Another new addition to the program is the option to “Theme” your file through which you can change the look of Word itself!

3) A very quick method of watching TV on the computer with no learning curve or hardware is through the use of a special software download. The software gives you access to thousands of streaming TV stations directly off the Internet.
